The NSX20 is a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 test platform powered by Infineon’s EZ-USB™ FX20 controller. It provides both a USB-C plug and a USB-C receptacle, supporting all USB 3.2 configurations up to 20 Gbps. Each port operates independently, making the NSX20 an ideal tool for validating host/device interoperability, link training, and protocol behavior.
A slide switch enables flexible power sourcing from either USB bus, while a PMODE button supports fast firmware updates and can be repurposed as a GPIO input after initialization.

Engineered for durability, the CNC-milled anodized aluminum enclosure is built to ±0.01 mm tolerance. All mechanical parts are supplied by Alps Alpine (Japan), with the slider rated for 10,000 cycles and tact switches for 600,000 cycles. Both USB ports incorporate Infineon’s advanced ESD protection devices (±12 kV IEC 61000-4-2).

From Lab Bench to Breakthrough
Manufacturing, assembly, and test are performed in Taiwan to ensure quality consistency. The NSX20 ships with Infineon’s FX20 eye monitor reference code and supports the FX20 DVK schematic, making it directly compatible with existing Board Support Package (BSP) and firmware examples for rapid evaluation and system integration.
The NSX20 is more than a reference design—it’s a purpose-built engineering test tool for USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 development. Unlike standard DVKs, it combines 20 Gbps performance, flexible plug-and-receptacle configurations, and field-ready durability in a CNC-milled aluminum chassis. With built-in power domain switching, firmware update support, and robust ESD protection, NSX20 gives hardware and validation engineers a ready-to-deploy platform that accelerates bring-up, compliance testing, and system integration without the compromises of generic evaluation kits.
